Alabama Internal Medicine has cared for patients in the Birmingham area for more than three decades.
The practice began in 1989, when two established private practices, Eastern Internists and Tilt and Byram, merged to create Alabama Internal Medicine, PC.
Dr. Steven J. Kulback has been a consistent member of Alabama Internal Medicine since its beginning.
Today, Dr. Kulback brings nearly five decades of medical experience to the practice. Current provider information confirms his internal medicine specialty, current Vann Road practice location and approximately 48 years of medical experience.
Nicholas Echemendia, MD joined the practice in 2016, continuing Alabama Internal Medicine’s commitment to comprehensive adult healthcare.
In 2020, Alabama Internal Medicine moved from the St. Vincent’s East hospital campus to our current location in the Trussville area.
Our history is important, but what matters most is what has sustained the practice through those years: we love what we do, and we care about the patients we serve.
